I started Misbehaving Merch in 2020 because I’d seen one too many “funny” tee ideas that could’ve been so much better, and because I was tired of the shirts marketed to women being either boring or, worse, a little bit misogynistic in a way everyone just pretends not to notice. I wanted to make stuff that was actually funny, actually filthy when it wanted to be, and built around female empowerment instead of at its expense.
I design most of what’s in the shop, write all of it, and personally approve every sample before it goes live. If a shirt says something filthy, I wrote it. If the pun is bad, that was a choice.
We’re not just tees: hats, journals, phone cases, and more are in the mix too. Most of our shirts are printed on Bella+Canvas Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, made by a Platinum WRAP-certified, Fair Labor Association manufacturer. That part isn’t a joke… it’s the one thing I won’t cut corners on, wherever it’s used.
Outside the shop, I’ve spent twenty-five years building things on the web and ten leading digital experience teams, which is mostly why this site loads properly. I also run Browncoat Digital, a small independent web practice.
